Learn to Drive with Confidence

Family-owned. Locally trusted. Teaching safe driving since 2006.

At 1st Gear Driving, we believe learning to drive is about more than passing a test. Our New Hampshire-certified driving instructors help students develop the knowledge, skills, confidence, and good judgment needed for a lifetime of safe driving.

Our classroom is located at 141 Route 101A, Unit M7, Amherst, NH 03031. We proudly welcome students from public, private, charter, and homeschool programs throughout Southern New Hampshire. Students attend classroom instruction at our Amherst location, regardless of which school they attend.

Private Driving Lessons
Personalized, one-on-one driving instruction for teens preparing for Driver Education, adults learning to drive, and drivers looking to build confidence or improve specific skills. Lessons are scheduled in advance based on instructor availability.
